PHILADELPHIA, PA – March 25, 2022 – Tech Impact today announced the nonprofit celebrated its 1,000th graduate across its workforce training programs. Carmella Allen, the 1,000th graduate, was recognized at the CXWorks virtual graduation ceremony.

“We are honored to recognize the more than 1,000 individuals who have advanced their careers through Tech Impact’s programs,” said Patrick Callihan, CEO of Tech Impact. “For more than a decade, Tech Impact’s workforce development programs have helped individuals across the country to launch careers in the IT, customer experience, and coding industries. We look forward to celebrating many more thousands of students graduating from our programs as we continue to build an inclusive talent pool and support the growing demand for skilled technology professionals.”

Carmella Allen is the 1000th graduate of Tech Impact’s programs. Carmella learned of Tech Impact and the CXWorks program after attending Governor Sisolak’s job fair at the Las Vegas Convention Center. After speaking with the Tech Impact team, she knew this program was right for her. The training would prepare her for a career in customer experience and help her grow into the leader that she knew she had the potential to be. Since the program was free to her, she enrolled immediately. Today, she graduates and is looking forward to starting her career in customer experience. She has already begun the interview process and is hopeful to have an offer in the coming days.

Headquartered in Philadelphia, Tech Impact serves over 400 organizations across the U.S. with a variety of technology services and support. The organization also offers apprenticeships for career pathways in software development, IT Support, cyber security, and business analysts, in addition to three core workforce development programs: CXWorks, ITWorks, and PunchCode. Established relationships with hiring partners have resulted in more than 75% of Tech Impact graduates being employed within six months of completing a program.
